Get in the Holiday Spirit with Buddy During This Performance of Elf: The Musical

The Public Theater of San Antonio is the largest, most productive professional live theater organization and only Equity Theater in the Alamo City. This season, The Public Theater of San Antonio is preparing for the holidays with Elf: The Musical! Check it out this Friday, November 22nd.

Elf: The Musical introduces audiences to Buddy, a young orphan who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised there, unaware that he is a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.

With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Based on the cherished 2003 New Line Cinema hit, Elf: The Musical features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar (The Wedding Singer) and Chad Beguelin (Disney's Aladdin on Broadway), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone).

Established in 1912 as the San Antonio Dramatic Club and incorporated in 1927 as the San Antonio Little Theatre, The Public Theater of San Antonio is the most historic theater in South Texas. For over a century, The Public Theater has evolved to serve its community as a 501c3 non-profit organization.

This modern holiday classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear! Tickets to Elf: The Musical range from $20 to $40 and are available for purchase at www.thepublicsa.org.
